How to ? Videos

First a little explanation on what each script does:

VSL Selector. It is used for the non legato articulations . Staccatos, pizzicato or long notes with no legato.
It has a selection method where you can choose several combinations in order to activate this particular articulation

VSL GrandLegato Used for Legato patches only (and portamento etc)
You must set the keyrange of your instrument for the script to know.
Then select the Legato Mode According to your instrument, collection etc. You may need to try all modes to see which one works best.

My repetition tool. used for repetition articulations only.
Set the number of repetitions needed your patch, and the Start, and Jump Key

If you don't know what this means you might need to refer to the VSL user guide and check out the Performance legato and repetition tools.
My scripts replicate what these tools do, but inside kontakt and in a simpler manner.

Next,
The idea is to create multi instruments. You load the patches you need for that particular instrument.
For instance, you might want to create a violin with just 3 articulations. Staccato, Sustain with legato, and Portamento.
In that case, load the 3 patches. Staccatos Legato, and Portamento. then load the needed script into every patch. See pic.

Now let's set up the scripts.
I want this instrument to be controlled with the pitch bend to switch between articulations.
I set pitch bend as Selection mode in all 3 patches. Then I assign a different range to every patch, so they don't sound all at once.
See pic.

If you have set up everything like the picture shows, you should have a working instrument.
Move the pitch bend upwards to get staccato sounds.
Leave the pitch bend at the center to get legato sounds.
Move the pitch bend downwards to get portamento sounds.

Get the idea?
